Stinar Corporation Delivers The aircraft
ground support industry began in 1946 when an airline approached Frank
Stinar to perform machining and repair work, and Stinar Corporation was
formed. The company started off building the first baggage handling equipment
and luggage carts. Next, Stinar mounted lavatory service and potable water
carts onto jeeps. A cargo lift was designed to also serve for maintenance
and food service. A maintenance stand serviced a DC-3 nose area. The line
expanded to de-ionized water carts, cold-fluid deicers, cargo trucks,
cargo pallets, crew stands, and passenger stairs. Frank, and eventually
his sons Gary and Gene Stinar, were hands-on in all facets of the company
- from sales to welding. And as the industry took off, so did the business.
Now, with a facility of more than 43,000 square feet, to meet the needs
of our ever-growing and changing international clients, we manufacture
various models of specialized trucks and carts for loading, servicing
and maintaining all types of government and commercial aircraft. Today,
Stinar Corporation has renewed its historical dedication to meeting and
exceeding customer expectations. Recently, a number of significant improvements
have been implemented to improve turnaround time, and enhance product
quality, reliability and longevity. Ownership Change In
1998, Minnesota-based Oakridge Holdings purchased
Stinar
Corporation
from Gary and Gene Stinar. In an industry where ground support equipment
companies have been sold over and over, Stinar Corporation is
unique.
More than 50 years of family tradition and integrity guided its growth,
and this continuity was beneficial as the airline industry went through
evolutionary changes. Over the years, Stinar formed a solid reputation
for quality products. Through a worldwide network of factory direct
sales representatives and company authorized agents, Stinar fully serves
large and small government and commercial customers. A Tradition of Innovation
and Service With investments
in facilities, equipment and people, Stinar Corporation is proactively
situated for future challenges and opportunities. Growth is the obvious
goal - with a continued emphasis on improving international efficiencies
and service. A Vision for the Future With a vision for the future, Stinar Corporation is capitalizing on its history. We strive to make cost-effective products that are designed for efficiency, simple and safe to operate, and are versatile for multi-use applications.
